Mario is a child. He was born with a moustache. He's seven years old; maybe eight. He pretends to work for his dad's plumbing company as a sort of mascot. He wandered into the pipes as a sort of adventure and has tricked everyone in the Mushroom Kingdom into thinking he's an adult because that's what a child would do in that situation.
He doesn't know what the word "politics" means except that the adults are about to have a supremely boring conversation.

what if we revive the original Super Mario Bros the movie watch along but instead of watching the original movie we watch the worst cam rip of the new illumination movie that i can find shortly after it hits theaters. Buuut solely for the purpose of pointing out any indications of Mario's political stance.
I feel like that movie will have some answers to the philosophical questions posed on this thread.
