I don't think I got this EDF in there? [upl-image-preview url=https://i.imgur.com/3h3H6C8.jpeg]

First time playing this because I only have 6 physical games in my collection and they’re usually buried in a box.[upl-image-preview url=https://i.imgur.com/MHjQVGN.jpeg]

"Banri no Chōjō, better known under its translated title ‘The Great Wall’ (although the actual overseas title is ‘Triple Threat’), is the direct port of the fourth arcade game developed by Success for Sunsoft. The arcade version was one of the very first games released on the Sega ST-V arcade board, allowing for a very quick home conversion on the Saturn."

Hi, Chaz. Let me correct this as your lovely posts well deserve it for the sake of completeness and I'm sure you'll want to know -- the arcade version of Banri no Choujou was actually a port of the SS version instead the opposite. A unique event, as far as I'm aware, but there's like half a year between both versions. Seems that Success made the original game for the 3DO (full with an arcade mode, mind), then X68, then FMT, where Sunsoft had nothing to do, and they remade it for the SS, then PS, then ARC, which is the hardest version of the bunch (and got ported to the SFC and PCFX, but without Success involvement).

Thanks for the additional information! As far as I know, this also happened with Hanagumi Taisen Columns and Steep Slope Sliders – although in that last case, the Saturn and ST•V versions could almost be considered separate games.

Probably the best PS3 exclusive game…. and among the most Nier and Dear to my Heart…

I‘m thinking of selling my PS3 collection of around 10 games (mostly RPGs) since my PS3 is broken and I can’t really imagine a world where I buy another. I would love to find them a forever home where they can be played and enjoyed instead of just taking up closet space. Unless any PS3 collectors think there‘s a compelling reason to keep them?

I’m genuinely curious and undecided, which is why I'm floating the idea here instead of the SALE thread.

Ooo did not read the Details tab until I posted this.. but I do not own a Ps3!

@“Tradegood”#p108800 how broken is your PS3? Maybe a forum member nearby can help!

@“connrrr”#p108881 Around 5 years ago the bluetooth & wifi antenna died, I took it to a friend who wasn‘t able to fix it. But I was able to plug it into an ethernet and use a cable, so while it wasn’t ideal it was still usable. Then around the time the PS3 store was shutting down, I wanted to go to the store one last time, so it required I download an update. I thought fine, thats normal, i‘ll just let it download over my ethernet, but nope. It wanted to switch to wifi for whatever reason and halfway through the update it crashed and went into a boot loop like whatsarobot had (I think it was the exact same error code). So I looked it up and the solution was to get a new laptop hard drive and format it with bios, so I tried that but still couldn’t get it to boot up. The whole thing was so frustrating I just gave up, considering the PS3 was kind of broken anyway. I still have it for some reason so I‘d be willing to send it away for free to someone who wants a project… but I don’t want it back lol.

If I ever did get a new ps3 I'd want it to be an emulator box with a blu ray drive or something instead of such old, volatile hardware.

Now one game I will never sell….

@“Tradegood”#p108800 If you have time and eternity, I‘ll buy your ps3 collection, ha ha. it’s not an expensive game but it just doesn‘t show up in my sphere that often. as for reasons to keep a PS3, only if you’re a weirdo that needs to play eternal sonata or time and eternity.

To continue the thread, I can‘t remember if I’ve posted this before but there‘s not a lot of Zs, so let’s go for it.

Certainly one of the best robot animal chariot racers on the dreamcast.

@“exodus”#p108930 Ah I never got that one! Looking at my collection it's actually pretty basic (I must have given a friend my copies of Tales of Graces and Ni No Kuni).

@“Tradegood”#p108943 truly had no idea p5 came out on Ps3. In my mind it was a much more recent game, and anyway I guess it‘s a pretty late Ps3 release regardless. Interesting! Either way I think your collection has largely gotten ports elsewhere so you’re probably good to go!

@“exodus”#p108946 Yeah exactly, a lot of these games are included in Playstation Plus and stuff anyway.

    ## THE YAKYŪKEN SPECIAL

Here is an informative (and age-retricted) video on The Yakyūken Special, arguably the first porn game to be officially released on consoles back in 1995.

I have not read the thousand plus posts in the thread, only went back about twenty, so apologies if someone did Linkle Liver Story twenty-one posts ago.
