This doesn‘t count, but I’m listening to some LCD Soundsystem to prep for my return to covering a set of their tunes after not playing them for over a year. I thought people would get a kick out of the videos of us.

I'm the guy wearing the wig (in homage to Nancy (the keyboard player)) and wool blazer (in homage to James (Murphy) (the singer)).
I suspect she’s gonna hit it big soon but join me on the early bandwagon of my Summer’s new groove, Kira. The sound (produced by rapper producer Issei) is pretty in tune with modern “RNB” and her flow reminds me of Aya Nakamura. The last tune is instant lovemakin’ playlist fodder.
Over the last few months I‘ve been trying to find more of the music by Cyberwoolf, an electronic / vocaloid artist from around 10 years ago that I occasionally hear on the Radio Eigekai Indies station, but for the life of me I can’t find more than the three or four songs that are on YouTube and there are some real bangers in the rest of the discography. I'm desperate to find the rest of the music but every social profile and website seems to have been completely scrubbed of contact / a means of listening to it.
So unknown that after over a year of being live this video has 8 views.
I‘ve recently unearthed my old Last.fm account that I used in college and then dropped pretty swiftly. Spent a lot of college time trying to find new music for my little-listened-to 1AM radio show in the middle of a nowhere county in Western PA. Of the stuff I’ve been revisiting, in the running for most obscure of those is Nosferatu D2 — despondent, energetic lo-fi rock made by two brothers from Croydon. Only one song of their breaches the 10,000+ play count on Spotify.
found this at the bottom of my bandcamp shopping cart when i was buying the insert credit soundtrack, and after listening to it several times, i say it's a beaut.
Tigercats is a band I first found about in high school from Blalocks Indie Rock Playlist (aka BIRP) with their punkish sounding song Coffin for the Isle of Dogs. They reminded me of one of my favourite bands Los Campesinos! with upbeat music and shouty british lyrics (I only knew Hold on Now Youngster at the time).
However! While drinking with an old high school friend who I used to share a lot of music the memory of tigercats conjured itself into my mind. Since then I listened to all their albums.
The first is [Isle of Dogs](https://shop.fikarecordings.com/album/isle-of-dogs) from 2012 feels very representive of that times indie music, lots of twee guitar. Some of the songs can be kind of annoying at times, always a tiny bit too long. It's still worth checking out. As of now I'm more of a fan of the slower songs on here, Kim & Thurston, Stevie Nicks.
Their second album **Mysteries** is from 2015. I still don't know where to buy this digitally so I'm linking Spotify. It starts with the arguably the worst song and its still pretty good. I'd say the peak of the album is the double act of Sleeping in the Backseat and So Haunted. This album has a bit of a lounge vibe to it, velvet seats and heavy glasses. I'd recommend giving this one a full long listen.

Their third album **Pig City** is from 2018. This one is a bit of a trip. All of the songs link into one another, there are a few breaks but songs start using the same riffs and referencing each other. The music in this reminds me a bit of _Foals_. It's hard to recommend any one song because they are all part of the same whole, but I remember liking Perfect Fried Chicken, Planet Thanet and Tropical Disease area of the album.

I'm not sure why they weren't that popular, on their [Youtube](https://www.youtube.com/user/Tigercatsband/videos) their most popular music video has 10k views. I suspect it has something to do with labels, maybe it's because they always chose poor singles. I feel like I am being unnecessarily harsh on them, but they've become a real favourite of mine. Anyway, check it out!
I recently found my old MD player and, with it, two unmarked discs. One, a red MD, contains a perfect replica of Radiohead's The Bends, complete with track names (I must have spent quite some time making that!) and the other was an orange MD containing a grungy mono recording of a webcast that I have no recollection of making. I eventually figured out that it was of a broadcast from my college radio station, probably circa 2005. I set about identifying the songs on there and (from what I could identify) there was some pretty cool stuff! I documented the process on twitter and figured I would share some of the spoils here:
I REALLY need to catch up on this thread, especially impressed with Kory's finds here.
But I was going through some old stuff and rediscovered this video, of which I am pretty sure 1/3 of the 300 views are me, because it was in my favorites for ages. Nobody has ever heard of this! It's pretty good!
