Loved working my way through this post during work today. I‘ll contribute some recent Japanese Emo which some of you may be aware of, but has been new to me. There has been three extremely great split EP’s released this year already that I have been listening to on repeat.
@treefroggy#14346 OMODAKA makes me feel nostalgic. That's awesome to know!
I would obsess over the Kokirko Bushi music video (Warning: rapid flashing at the beginning) for a while after discovering them.

They just have such a good sound.

I love OMODAKA! I recently watched an amazing short Archipel documentary about him, its also where I learned that he was the Ape Escape composer for the first time...that kind of blew my mind!
does nobody know about [sevish](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1o78Jd94HgY)?
probably everyone knows about [vulfpeck](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnE-zRYxGFM), but in case not, there.
how about the [sound shock fm funk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDVSuSBLlkQ&list=PLZRnwj74WAQ5-bX1Mal2233X_W8gfpFJ2&index=2) series?
finally, i bet no one knows about [this great tune](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSs64y9jDdA).
couldn‘t find much info on them, but they’re from slovakia, moved to canada and wrote some sweet folk tunes. like the tight snare. also diggin the 49c price tag.
Back in the winter of 2007, after I graduated college, I spent 55 days in Tokyo on a very lean budget of about $35/day for all expenses after housing and my ticket to and back from Japan.
In February and March I went to the Red Cloth venue with Tim and a bunch of other people to see some random groups including Kama Boiler. From what I remember Kama Boiler was the only band there on both evenings I went and damn I loved their music. They had a mini album (Koobata Smoke) I got one of those nights and then about a year later I got Blue Bird on iTunes.

After years of silence they suddenly released another album in 2018 titled `2010` that I grabbed digitally.
Damn I miss seeing them live. Wish I could remember who else played those nights I was there.
I don‘t know how much is that known, but I’m very surprised about this album. Parking Lot is with one theme of Black Country, New Road one of the most pleasant surprised of this year.
There's a friend who I normally exchange old electronica or italo (he knows of my taste for italo) as we find them and he sent me this great song yesterday.
Big props to the amazing videoclip (animated by Guido Manuli, who I discovered with this) for following the plot of the lyrics. Which boils down to "I was in space when a mysterious signal said 'wanna fug :D' and what can go wrong amirite?"
And by digging for more stuff by Manuli with this look we ended finding this:

A really great animated short that was used for interludes in the british ITV during the 83-84.
