Music that nobody knows about

Oh should have checked, yeso plugged them last week. Well I second that haha

@MichaelDMcGrath#15276 we stand together in being correct

numero is also one of the good ones as far as reissue labels go. This article from a few years back describes the lengths they go to in order credit and get some money to the artists or their next of kin

https://www.spin.com/2012/09/numero-group-worlds-greatest-reissue-label/

some of the other reissue labels lack the same dedication you might say

@safety_man#15270 how / when did you discover them?

I saw the album cover for Otra Ves Otra somewhere (maybe Spotify?) a few months ago and liked it a lot, so I dove in to their music and animation.

2nd and 1st wave ska > 3rd wave ska

The clean are a pretty well known band, but I have yet to come across anyone who knows this ep by the band “stephen” with david kilgour during one the clean's hiatuses. Don’t know how unknown it really is but I don’t think it’s had a reissue for whatever reason. I think it’s great though I love it

P.H.F makes good music. They're definitely my favourite artist that I found last year.

This ones a kind of slow song.

This ones more guitary almost sounds like radiohead got shot.

He does some insanely good covers.
This one is an upbeat thrashy pop-punk rock song. Instantly likeable.

This one is slow rock. I'm not sure how to say it's emotionally powerful.
https://soundcloud.com/perfect-hair-forever/bags-trash-cover
This one is more synthy late night driving.

Edit: realised one of the songs was a cover. replaced with Lotion

Bonus post. You probably know 100 gecs, this is from Laura Les who makes up 50% of the band and it is such an incredible song. It's a long one! I'd recommend listening until at least the cowbell.

@yeso#15363 I used to check for the radar of small dogs lp on discogs but never saw it pop up. I heard about them in an interview with Liz Harris from Grouper

Edit- just checked and apparently there was a 500 print rerelease last year! I totally missed it. Harris picked it out for the label. https://www.joyfulnoiserecordings.com/products/stephen-radar-of-small-dogs?_pos=11&_sid=f675d98f6&_ss=r
