He hasn’t been associated with it for a while, not sure who named it though - bluesky is pretty good! a million people signed up today.
I like bluesky for sure but just hard to stomach bsky.app heh. I’m don’t trust social networks in general and I don’t trust bluesky CEO but giving them big benefit of doubt as they are doing good so far.

my thoughts (the thoughts of a person who of these, has only used cohost, not mastodon or bluesky)
toots and chosts: cute, fun
reskeet: sounds like something i’d rather avoid (if someone told me “me and the guys are gonna go reskeeting later tonight, wanna come along?” i’d say “no” while trying to repress the visible, facial manifestations of discomfort)

at least for the moment they are – baby Ewon’s twitpit announced that they’d basically be removing the ability to block people (allowing the blocked person to see the tweets of the blocker). this outburst of divorced stalker energy led half a million people to bisky in one day, by the last count

I like Bluesky. It’s got the feel of old Twitter, plus it’s not focused on some stupid algorithmic feed built to generate engagement by shoving the most outrageous people and opinions in your face.
Also thanks to the most recent musky nonsense (and I suspect because I got on a list or two that people follow wholesale) I suddenly got more followers than I ever had on Twitter.

That’s funny that a million people just signed up for BlueSky. I was going to sign up for BlueSky last weekend as part of a couple new social media accounts, but instead I did it this morning. Instagram tripped me up though since I was instantly banned and had to prove my existence for a week. Now that I got that figured out, I’m setting up the other ones this weekend. Didn’t this topic just come up on the podcast recently? Maybe that was somewhere else. I would love to just not be on Instagram, but a lot of my local connections still use it.
