Carnage Heart Exa is the final release in the Carnage Heart series by Artdink, and aside from the first game, the only other to get an English release. Download-only, published by Natsume, English translated text with original Japanese VO (a lot of it), with a detailed story mode that is effectively an in-universe tutorial served up like a VN. The menus, music, and gameplay graphics are simply PSP gold. Itās also a totally dope concept that gets poopooād for being too much like homework, but itās fun to work hard to do something, and allows for so much. Plus the mech design (like all the series) is dope stuff between Appleseed and GitS. A world where competitive play of a game like this has some kinda standingā¦
@āexodusā#p156980 Good lord I didnāt notice was just lookin for a vid with a good cross section of different segments. That vid is full of it - runs smooth as butter!
Edit: Hereās what looks to be someone running a tournament of some kind - no menus but you can see the combat.

I charged my PSP again for the first time in probably like seven years, and it pretty much instantly replaced my Switch and Steam Deck as portable of choice. Mostly by virtue of actually being portable, and the fact that my decade plus old Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge save is still present and correct.
I played so much friggin Game Boy Advance on this thing. Oh, that raises a question, can we say f**k on this forum?
@"Stuart Gipp"#p157451 The Insert Credit Forums culture here generally doesn't swear, but is also generally not prudish. Ultimately the community and mod team use section 3 "Do not post unwelcome content" to address language on the occasions when things get out of hand.
Good moderation and guidelines need both community context and flexibility to be useful which is why the mod team will point to the policy rather than litigate which specific words we should or should not be typing.
Dude, Iām right in the middle of this one for a podcast Iām recording next week. I feel like I have no idea what Iām doing but I keep passing missions and love everything about the way it looks. The menus are really clean and new card packs are so exciting.
This might be my next obsession I feel let me see how much for a physical copyā¦Ā£9 and Ā£18 for both games! I wish I didint sell my turquoise psp 3000
I loved Metal Gear Ac!d but didnāt finish it because of the specific way I was playing it.
I worked in a call centre at the time, and often calls would slow down from about 4pm to home time at 5. While things were quiet I sneakily played Ac!d on my PSP hidden in a drawer.
Then that quiet time stopped happening and also my PSPās screen got broken so I never got back to it.
Got it loaded up on my PSP Go and Vita now, so Iām excited to give it another try all these years later because I remember liking it quite a bit.
I hate card games but love anything MGS, and quite enjoyed Ac!d. That was my very first PSP game back at launch. Never played the sequel, but the first had an amazing aesthetic, classic PSP graphics and was actually pretty fun considering how much I dislike card games. Been planning to replay it soon as a on-the-go/outdoor summer game.
No but Iāve seen a copy recently and thought it was very funny. I didnāt realize it was rare - it wasnāt selling for much because itās region 2 and that is not our region out here!
well shoot, the PSP is famously region free, even! might be worth picking up, just because it would be extremely funny to own, which is a very normal and rational thought driving many of my financial decisions.
