yeah this was my first opportunity to see much of her both her and Sears. Wild that if you assume Swanson – Smith – Rodman are your front line attackers, you then have Thompson – Shaw – Sears and/or Sanchez/Malonson — Macario — Williams. Dont know if the midfield picture got any clearer, but it does look like they’re working more promising players into the mix. Heschfeldt was quite good I thought, which would be a relief if that position could finally be solved. I know there’s still bad vibes about Albert, but she has proven herself as a decent option too although everyone and myself included would feel better if Herschfeldt just locked down that job completely lol. Horan is still sort of a misfit in games against better competition, but you could see her idealized self against Argentina just sort of menacing other players when they’re pinned in their own half. But her and the other mid spot is more uncertain and Lavelle is always a little fragile. Healthy Macario, Bethune, Sanchez, Shaw etc but I imagine they’re really hoping Yohannes decides to be A True Patriot instead of Dutch.
Now that I think of it, I guess the biggest question mark is the other CD. Girma is so good you rarely feel like you need one lol
Apologies to any Yankee fans in the house, but that was a terrible meltdown last night in a game they should’ve won easily. Their ace got a 5 run lead and it all crumbled in a flash. They also should’ve obviously won game 1, so while the Dodgers played a great series overall it really could’ve been a lot closer than 4 games to 1 if the Yankees had just taken care of business.
Anyway, congrats to any Dodger fans and congrats to Shohei Ohtani. The Dodgers thing finally worked for real this time, just keep getting there and eventually it’ll click in October, and this time they even got to play in front of full stadiums for it. It’s also funny that Kershaw didn’t participate.

Bay FC beat Houston to clinch the playoffs in our first season!!! Rachael Kundananji had maybe the best individual performance I’ve seen from a player on this team this season. We’ll be 7th or 8th depending on the Chicago game’s outcome tomorrow which means a matchup with Orlando or Washington. They’re both far better teams so might be a thumping but in these single elimination playoffs anything can happen!
So cool to see the team embraced so intensely by the Bay Area this year. Legit incredible.
