I was not aware until now, personally, but they look rad, and looks like they were at the event last year and will be again on tomorrow!
FWIW I’m only tangentially connected with the event, I went to college with one of the organizers. I was visiting him last year while he was organizing the first one, but left before the actual event. This year I came back to volunteer. Which is to say I’m not local and not connected with people here.
I am going to be in Yakima, WA, for three weeks, the remainder of July.
Recently I recalled this is also the birthplace/home of Kyle mclachlan, which is fun. but yeah my gf lives there.

I would like to try and arrange for myself to appear at the IC hangout when I inevitably fly into PDX to be with my sweetheart in washington for a week or two or more in october. I will buy tix asap, maybe once the date is cemented and I’ve confirmed I’m not working and have a place to put my van that week.
If you show up I will physically hand you the Xbox 360 that I can give you (assuming you didn’t get one in the last 11 months)! I am excited to meet you IRL!

I fly into PDX like every month now that I’m in a long distance relationship so we could do a micro meetup any time!
Getting excited though… this is the first time in my life I have stable income enough to do something like this and fly to a PRGE and not on a shoestring budget!

The 2024 Portland meetup is tonight!
We’ll be at -REDACTED- at 8 PM until “??”. This is a locally famous bar and restaurant and has plenty of food annd drink options and is close to the convention center.
Full disclosure, I’ll probably be there closer to 9 after I finish dad responsibilities, but SEVERAL REDACTED FORUM FRIENDS will all be there to wish you luck navigating my sense of humor in person.
