A Dreamcast in every house and two VMU in every controller.
“sharp twin fami” is my favorite aphex twin track
If the idea is that these look similar, they really don’t look that similar to me!
very much considering a japan trip around asagaya tanabata
Asagaya is so weird - they dubbed themselves “anime town” for some reason and they just have this one sad street of anime standees that was totally empty when I went. Meanwhile the actual area is full of nice cafes and bakeries and stuff. I dunno, name it after that! Call yourself bakery town!
Maybe it’s fine when they’re having a festival of some kind but during your normal days it is definitely not an anime town. (Incidentally I didn’t stay there because it was “anime town,” that was a coincidence - I found out about the anime town thing while I was there)
huh… that’s so interesting - ironically my previous impression of it was very much that it was bread town. all stuff I’ve read there has mostly been about how chill it is, it’s a pretty prominent setting in a few things i’ve read (including about this very festival). Anime town sounds quite off putting!
i had hoped this is like when sonic sneaks into a parade or something.
Actually it looks like they’ve given up on it and the anime street has closed! Seems like it went about as well as one could’ve expected.
that’s what makes you brandon.
They tried to Anime Town before they could Anime Street.
Edit: It’s late. I’m cheesy. I’m sorry.
Previous guest on the show Jeff Gerstmann played some games to celebrate the 35th birthday of the Genesis (something I do not personally celebrate (I celebrate the MegaDrive))
Very rare Rez stickers included in the soundtrack album Rez - Gamer’s Guide To…
I got this from Jake Kazdal, the only North-American member of the extinct UGA studios. I had to change the contrast on the “Trance” sticker a little so it could become more visible. Go to Synaesthesia.

dreamcast day
25 fucking years
to me it was such a symbol of hope for a better, braver, more healthy creative future
and historically its failure marks the onset of the Great Stagnation, the start of the end to a mainstream progressive and expressive approach to game design
that failure, and the mass rejection of the hope that the dreamcast represented, contributed to a major nervous breakdown i experienced in late 2001,
which ruined my life completely, and psychologically from which i still have not fully recovered
the wound still hurts so deeply
…
but at least i’m still pretty
