Ok seeing this makes me feel embarrassed enough to want to explain myself: I bought a box of Blackwing matte pencils at the college book store because from there and in bulk they were more reasonably priced per pencil, but it is still a bad pencil and I would never purchase one again. The wood and lead and even the eraser are all very high-quality, but it comes with a skinny core and the lead is so soft (around 4 or 5B or so) that it feels like I’m spending half my time just sharpening. Then of course because of that they don’t last. At the time I was looking for a replacement for the Sanford Ebonies they made us use in animation school for gestures and roughs that I still had a bunch of but never liked because the lead is so gritty. I’ve since switched to using FC Pitt pastels.
Is this the first Jon Bois videos not about sports? I liked it a lot, cool to see him easily extend his numbers-obsessed style to topics outside of sports.
there have been a few Pretty Good videos not about sports, notably the ones about jack bauer and the bodybuilding forum
Thanks, I’ll have to check them out.
Oh wait, I’ve definitely seen this one before. Guess I should’ve known he does non-sports stuff.
i don’t remember if he mentions it in the video, but a priest from the region where i live once took off with a buncha balloons for a charity thing about 15 yrs ago. the weather and wind were terrible and he did not survive, sadly
Man I haven’t seen this one for years
drum and bass + taco car in fact
My brain really wants me to believe that it’s “Attacked Mystification 2D”
I’m not sure which thread this nonsense is supposed to go in, so I’m gonna put it in this thread. It’s the 90s and it is time for…
The 2024 Portland Retro Gaming Expo report out.
Two Xenogears price checks for you. Note that the “Price of Freedom” is not listed. I do this every year because I sold my copy of Xenogears circa 2002 to one of my best friends for about 40 bucks and I routinely remind him how much he “owes me“ for storage.
This was my first and only run at Major Havoc. I love that game. Go play it.
Forum friend @kory + significant other playing Sonic: The Fighters. Fun fact: my 14-year-old daughter won eight consecutive rounds of Sonic: the Fighters versus her father. I’m not sure who is more excited about it, her, or Kory who is cheering her on.
Loot report:
Paid MSRP for the book (which is
immaculate) and 50% off for the games. Going to play them over Christmas holidays with a friend. Pretty excited about it.
