This is very cute. Any plans to develop the idea further? Reminds me a bit of that new social/fishing game, plus a little of the Adventure Time aesthetic.
I get the vibe that the avatars would get snacks from a cafe then hangout at a rainy park under a tree, or maybe a patio with one of those tables that has a built in umbrella with a heater next to it.
this came out a month or two ago and i dunno if this is the place to talk about it, but: i made some puzzles and helped out on this book of crossword puzzles about tv shows from A24, which is a bananas sentence for me to type out?!?!?
somehow two out of the three preview images on the site are mine and i know for a fact that there are way more impressive crosswords in the set but like… wild to have A24 in my CV now but not for any reason anyone would think of
Hey, so I made a comic about myself that I think is a little boring. The drawings are definitely weird and the anatomy is fucked, but I don’t view that as much of a problem. It’s also sixteen pages, so I’m gonna have to keep replying to this to post it all (sorry)

Great comic!
I relate strongly to what you wrote about. It’s hard to let go of this kind of deep seated sense of worthlessness. Glad you’re taking steps in a healthier direction. It’s a journey worth undertaking.
got some new stuff published - an interview with the bay area musician xay cole (choice bit was them recounting watching the saw movies as a kid), and also the singles jukebox is doing our year-end coverage of songs we missed which reliably produces fun and funny writing. the song i picked scored really high today :3
I like the comic! It takes a lot of guts to be so vulnerable and honest. I can’t imagine that was easy to write!
If you don’t mind, I have a small bit of feedback. It’s a bit hard to read on mobile, so I’d suggest cutting the margins outside the panel borders, and maybe upping the font size a point or two when posting online.
I’m sorry about that, I also split it up into individual panels for social media (not to plug, but here’s the post on bluesky @sssiiiggg.bsky.social on Bluesky) I just assumed no one would use forums on mobile, which I guess is on me.
I also tend to think of things for print and not for web, so again, that’s a blind spot.
Yeah, you need to assume everything online will be viewed on both pc and mobile these days, but I also much prefer to work in print format haha. I like to refer to Adam Ellis’ recent work for how to format for social media. He’s really figured it out.
This is a bit shoddy, but maybe funny: Pixel Dailies had the theme #cabinet so I couldn’t resist trying to recreate the poster for The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
I like to doodle occasionally but can never think of anything to draw. Well my wife bought me a doodling book with prompts to help me settle on what to put down. Here’s my first entry in the book.
Edit: Realized the prompt is a little blurry. It was “cupcake sprinkles”.
I brought this up in the Introduction thread but it belongs here. Over several months of iterating with hardware and tools ordered from eBay, AliExpress, and Amazon, I built my first fighting game controller. I knew I wanted a custom layout so no retail stick would do, so I went the DIY route. I wanted one that fit my hand shape and also had a configuration where I could either use a joystick (lever) or directional buttons (leverless). It would be nice if it opened easily, AND the enclosure itself wouldn’t blow half my budget. So I did what any other sane gamer would do and I found a leather briefcase and got to drillin’.
You can read my Reddit post if you want the full story, but it boils down to wanting a vintage electronics aesthetic and making as many of the internals as I can using my mitts.
