@“tokucowboy”#p130955 looks neat, and I hope you told that cat I said what's up
Behold, weeks worth of labor. I filmed everything, taught myself how to rotoscope, designed MIDI sounds, and even gave menu design a whirl.
Hopefully the love and care I put into this is felt.

@“HyggeState”#p134671 It looks and sounds real good!
@“HyggeState”#p134671 hell yeah
Hey ya'll, feel free to spread this around to the cool people you know (cool people are harder to find on Twitter these days) for the aforementioned cyberpunk short, a thing I partly made in the future

I’m working on a little riso booklet. This spread was inspired by hiking, gachapon and Tuxedo Mask (he’s so dreamy)
I made this NFC RetroPie for my kid. Wrote a python script for the NFC reader, made the boot video, and the game boxes/cards.

Been posting about this every once and a while around the forum over the years, but it‘s finally done and has been working fine. The CRT scripts I found can be used by anyone and linked in the video if you’re interested in that.
@“copySave”#p135063 this is extremely cool. Just looking at it from the internet is weirdly comforting; not in a “thank goodness kids will keep doing the exact same things we did” way, but in a way that shifts thinking about technology to a space of play and personalization, and of passing on culture. It's so thoughtful. Lucky kid over there.
A few years ago my wife asked me to make a planter box out of shipping pallets, having seen one somewhere while out walking. The idea was to get some free wood from wherever and slap something together to get a nice bit of garden for cheap. Instead I wound up buying some fairly nice hardwood (merbau maybe, I forget), spending hours and hours on it, and buying new tools (as a nurse I had refused for years to get a circular saw because of the injuries I’ve seen from them at work, but once I had one I understood the appeal). It definitely would have been a lot cheaper to just buy something nice, but I enjoyed the project.

My plan. I know next to nothing about woodwork or like structures or whatever.

The first layer. At this point I was lubricating my screws with a bar of soap and using just my cordless drill to make the holes and drive the screws, which meant switching from drill bit to driving bit over and over.

The rest of the layers. I switched to beeswax to make the screws go in easier (note the two empty holes in the top side plank where I broke off screw heads trying to drive them in). I’ve also gotten my corded drill out for the drilling and was using the cordless to drive. I’d been using the cordless for so long because of the convenience I’d forgotten how much more powerful the corded drill is.

The completed box, moved to where it still is today. We lined the inside with plastic, filled it with dirt, and put some plants in. For some reason I have no photos of that.
I made a trailer for all the game video stuff I am working on, wherein I dive into trading card games.

Just finished this spread for my little riso booklet. Inspired by my friend's (and now my) love for weasels.
Here's the accompanying music track: [Ambergris March - Bjork](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nb7ed6FgVCc)

I'm glad that this thread is Garden Box chat. I need to rebuild the ones I made for my wife like, 10 years ago and this has given me some new ideas.
I did mine with cedar fence slats and they have deteriorated for the second time. Need to replace them with something much sturdier.
I made a tiny video game a few months ago! It's a 1-bit skateboarding game made with GB Studio and is playable in your browser. It was a ton of fun to make. I highly recommend GB Studio! (This game also features very simple chiptune covers of a Black Sabbath song, a Nine Inch Nails song, and TWO Bongripper songs!) Check it out, if you want: https://malyzar.itch.io/skate
@“malyzar”#p140487 Your game is a lot of fun! Nice one!
@“malyzar”#p140487 dude this is awesome
