It's rained pretty steadily these past three days and now the dirt road leading to my dwelling is a mud road and undrivable. Starting to feel cabin fever in here
We've had two rounds of under -30C/-22F temps since December 1! Thankfully the most recent one this past Monday night/Tuesday morning passed quickly, but it was a bone chilling -33C/-27F! Looks like Edmonton lucked out because some more northern places in Alberta and Saskatchewan were down around that magic place where C and F converge, -40!
Last night it was rainy. I walked to the local arena for a public skate on my new-to-me hockey skates and had a very chill time. Not too many people and lots of folks earnestly practising things like stops and spins and skating fakie. The usual public skate on weekends is so crowded and rowdy with families only doing the loop leaving no room for anyone to do anything else. Wednesday is definitely where it's at.
The UK is very cold at the moment. A lot of places have snow but down south, we're just getting big frosts. Snow is due on Wednesday though.

On Monday, the weather said we'd be having continuous snow from Tuesday morning until Friday evening. Instead we just got some snow overnight and intermittently today.
This some weak ass pre-Christmas weather, I tell you what.

Winnipeg got about 15cm of snow overnight, and weâre dropping to -30c by Monday! Winterâs here!

The air has been very still all night so the snow alighting on the branches of trees is still undisturbed by morning and I love when that happens.
