segasonic is indeed a game with a cool artstyle, but they have it at my local arcade here and every brithday i go over there and lose $10+ (it‘s an awful quarter muncher) and get the bad ending every single time - i cannot escape robotnik’s fortress in time, and you don't get another chance, just bad ending (;____

a doctor friend just told me that a gene associated with brain tumors in children is called “sonic hedge hog” which unfortunately seems like a Very Sonic thing to have happen, to name something that bad after Sonic

I didn’t have a PS3 or 360 when Sonic 2006 came out, and by the time I did get one a year or two later it was pretty obvious it was a game to avoid. So I never played it.

The Sonic Project '06 remake for PC is actually pretty nice. Still a silly big work in progress and no hub world is involved, just a level select, but it plays way better than than original. Feels good! Like what I expected '06 to be.
I'd highly suggest giving it a try.

You can play through all of Sonic, Shadow and Silver's stages, and each one comes with a bonus stage with a different character (Tails for Sonic, Blaze for Silver, and E-123 Omega and Rouge for Shadow).

@“mtvcribs”#p117411 This remake project has made me appreciate it more since it fixes a lot of the controls and jank to make a much smoother experience over all. With that out of the way I could actually enjoy the characters being goofy more, the look of the levels, and even enjoy the ones where I have to carry the princess around. It's charming! Silver grew on me instantly with his silly whiny voice. “I can use my PSYCHOKINESIS!!” “I'll just use my PSYCHOKINESIS!!” “No problem, I can move this with my PSYCHOKINESIS!!!”
It's good, it just needed more time to bake.

do you people know about sonic triple trouble 16 bit? it‘s a remake of sonic triple trouble as if it were made for the genesis (except there’s maybe a couple effects that wouldn't have been so slick on the genesis).
i never had the pleasure of playing a gamegear so this is my first go round with tiple trouble, but the remake feels like a perfect follow-up to _s3&k_.
i played it on android, and the touch controls do suck, but with a little neuroplasticity it's tolerable.
oh, and one thing i really like about, which i don't know if the original did is, in a special stage, you can try it as many times as you want, so long as you have the lives. this fixes a big problem with sonic.
edit: why'd i seach after posting? _sonic triple trouble 16 bit_ was mentioned in the SAGE thread and a rom-hacking thread here.
anyway, sonic is sonic.
