The Switch 2 will have a similar form factor to the Switch, except that rather than the joycons detatching, both the joycon and half the screen detach, allowing two players to simultaneously play portably. Each half will have the capability of one Switch; the combined console will accordingly be twice as powerful.
but wouldn’t the combined system have double the pixels too, thus making it just a switch?
the nutrition facts for the switch 2 will make it seem like an all right snack, and then you’ll see there’re two servings per individually wrapped package.

nintendo is deliberately timing the release of Switch 2 with the inauguration of a second trump term in order to sell infantile nostalgia (and $70 dollar games that run at 14-23 fps) to 43 year old men at their most emotionally labile. They did the same in 2017 with the first switch release and it paid major dividends for Executives and Shareholders.

you can also make it use the me-go-peepee jingle by holding the z button when you start it. and if you do it on all 32 controllers at once (it supports up to 32 controllers) you get the thank you drop.
