I went to a roller rink yesterday for their Wednesday disco night and it was so much fun! I donāt think Iāve roller skated since I was a kid, but I picked it up pretty quickly and got into a nice groove.

What helps me before putting on my blades is a dynamic stretch routine from head to toe. It becomes more important than wearing protection imo (although protection is great).

Thereās a genus of fungi that infects bananas called nigrospora. You can usually tell an infected banana by its flesh turning red and hard and dry from the placenta outward (meaning you canāt tell itās present until youāve peeled an infected fruit). This doesnāt make the banana inedible although it does ruin the experience.
I start every day with a banana, and the other day I bought some bananas infected with nigrospora. I fucking hate this garbage fungus.
Mokillo, moko, and blood disease bacterium are bacterial diseases that can also cause red discoloration in bananas.
I hate ralstonia too!!! I donāt want to start my morning with such bad vibes!!!!!!!!!

Iām trying to get a Raoul Dufy ceramic tile authenticated and the person in charge of his catalogue raisonnĆ© was either extremely annoyed or more French than I thought one person could be.

Sadly itās going to require a chemical analysis to see if the materials were used in that time period and location. Dufy is rife with forgeries and I have no provenance for this tile

Iām the lead art director in a yet-to-be-disclosed game project. My client is on vacation in Ireland, and I was working from The Tropics.
Thought Iād mention it because for all the techno ick there is, this is one of those fleeting optimistic examples of the internet as we hoped it would be in the 90ās.

- iāve been thinking of joining a baseball team for middle-aged fellas like myself.
- for context, iāve been thinking of trying a coffee place down the street for ~7 years.
- user controls, the part of a user interface that the user uses to do things, should be staticānot changing with context, not moving around.
- i often think i should avoid any and all media made to make money, but i worry that iāll miss out on stuff. lately, i wonder if it isnāt time i give up on getting anything out of commercial media.
- hypertext is really cool, cooler than a lot of things.
- iāve been transferring my org file to a physical zettlekasten.
