yeah I think thatās part of the problem because thereās too much perusing. People selfishly blocking already narrow aisles with not only themselves but shopping carts they donāt need (has anyone ever filled a shopping cart at TJās?) looking over all the treats taking their sweet time.
i lost a very dear friend today. you canāt know how much time you really have with somebody until itās up. just wanted to say Iām grateful to all of you here for making me feel so welcome in such a short amount of time. Iāve never been great with people, this summer has been hard, and the atmosphere here has really helped me feel less adrift in an increasingly confusing world. yāall are cool as heck. thank you

Ok so nowadays Iām playing game boy and people sooner recognize it as an aftermarket device. Itās happened a lot this summer where Iāve been playing a lot in public.

Iāve lived near a table bridge for almost a year now and Iāve never gotten to see the mechanism in action. This morning as I was coming back from a run, the bridge was closed off to traffic temporarily, and someone waiting there for it to open with his dog told me it had just lifted, so Iād missed it by maybe seconds. I said āshoot!!ā

Iāve given up on my PS5 and shall be parting ways with it soon. Iāve spent most of 2024 playing on my Steam Deck, Vita and SP; and have had a grand olā time. Meanwhile, the PS5 has mostly collected dust, and no longer justifies its existence in my minimalist domain.
Now Iām just debating on whether I should use the proceeds from its sell to buy this lovely white LE Gundam DS Lite I saw at J&L Games the other day. I love my handhelds (preferred way to game, and they donāt take up much space) and have never played the DS/its library, and also think itād be nice to be able to start looking out for/buying some DS games when out on my retro huntsā¦

Oh yes. Ended up looking through the DS Appreciation thread for recs and decided to go with the DSi. Ordered a refurbished, re-shelled (with clear glacier) one that should be arriving in the next day or two!
Very excited, as itās one of the few libraries left I get to try out for the very first time.

Iāve recently been bouncing around the DS library myself. Thereās some phenomenal hidden gems, but also some truly outstanding not-hidden gems as well!! Everyone was right about Picross 3D and Ghost Trick, for example. Possibly the best-ever in their respective genres. Lots to love in that little clamshell
