Tell me anything

yeah I think that’s part of the problem because there’s too much perusing. People selfishly blocking already narrow aisles with not only themselves but shopping carts they don’t need (has anyone ever filled a shopping cart at TJ’s?) looking over all the treats taking their sweet time.

i lost a very dear friend today. you can’t know how much time you really have with somebody until it’s up. just wanted to say I’m grateful to all of you here for making me feel so welcome in such a short amount of time. I’ve never been great with people, this summer has been hard, and the atmosphere here has really helped me feel less adrift in an increasingly confusing world. y’all are cool as heck. thank you

Ok so nowadays I’m playing game boy and people sooner recognize it as an aftermarket device. It’s happened a lot this summer where I’ve been playing a lot in public.

  • pointing at my gameboy that’s an Emulator
  • ā€œHow many games ya got on that thing?ā€ Pointing at my Pocket Pikachu. He was confused when I said ā€œoneā€. I would hardly even call it a game.

I’ve lived near a table bridge for almost a year now and I’ve never gotten to see the mechanism in action. This morning as I was coming back from a run, the bridge was closed off to traffic temporarily, and someone waiting there for it to open with his dog told me it had just lifted, so I’d missed it by maybe seconds. I said ā€œshoot!!ā€

I don’t know why Chris uses AFAB the way he does in this bit? I can see the hidden snacks at Farm Boy.

I forgot to mention I caught it this morning!!! In fact I made a detour to try and see it when I spotted a boat on the canal lmao.

You gotta check out that DS; it’s got so many good ones. That Gundam DS looks pretty sweet also. Never saw that before.

My question was answered on Jeff Gerstmann’s podcast this week.

Oh yes. Ended up looking through the DS Appreciation thread for recs and decided to go with the DSi. Ordered a refurbished, re-shelled (with clear glacier) one that should be arriving in the next day or two!

Very excited, as it’s one of the few libraries left I get to try out for the very first time.

I’ve recently been bouncing around the DS library myself. There’s some phenomenal hidden gems, but also some truly outstanding not-hidden gems as well!! Everyone was right about Picross 3D and Ghost Trick, for example. Possibly the best-ever in their respective genres. Lots to love in that little clamshell

I think it’s really cool that people are intentionally making 240p videos now

this sounds cool to me. What kind of videos?

I had my first experience with a Book-off carrying nothing older than PS4 games except for some DS and 3DS games, two shelves worth. No sfc at all even.

I feel like I’ve seen the future (T2 skeleton on chainlink) and am reinvigorated to continue to scan the shelves that I can, while it is still even possible. Gonna start bracing myself when I browse bookoffs though. Hardoff I still trust.
