I have some time off this coming week and I’m in-between games. Thinking of either diving into a big RPG or picking up where I left off on one. Help me decide!
Need a game to start playing. Feeling like dumb 3d action. Haven’t played any of these.
Never completed a Resident Evil before. Put a few hours into 2 PS4 years ago but that’s it. So.
I chose remake because, while the remake is more impressive if you’ve played the original first, I do think the remake is better! Perhaps controversial.
Winter is jrpg time
I realized the date too late, but I was thinking of the Sega AGES version of PS. Not for the -encounter, +exp toggle but for that sweet dungeon auto mapping.
mother 3 is cozy and sad, just like winter!
I reckon I’ve got one short-to-medium length, fairly chill narrative heavy game left in me this year. Trying to nail down which one it’s going to be. Here’s my shortlist:
if I spend $20 on a Grand Theft Auto game having only ever dabbled in Grand Theft Auto games, knowing that these two are the cool ones, which one do I go for? spent a lot of this last year rounding out my youthful lack of Xbox, so these’ll be the 360 version of IV or the recently much-improved Trilogy remasters, either one running on a lil ol Series S
Indika it is! Should be getting a copy of it on PS5 tomorrow, perhaps I’ll be done with it in time to update my GOTY list.
Suddenly my vote feels very significant… after a fraught few moments I voted GTA IV. San Andreas is perhaps the greater game imo but I remain unconvinced that the remasters are the best way to experience it. They are clearly way better than launch but I still find the hodge-podge of 20 year old assets and animations, AI upscale and general lack of polish a net negative - I hear the latter part of the game is still really janky also.
You’re going to have to play all of it. Those are the rules.
voted San Andreas, but for Vice City.
I didn’t realize IV was so well regarded. I can’t get into that one. Too many phone calls about hanging out coupled with atrocious car physics makes it a non-starter for me.
IV is a good choice for fans of ricky gervais standup
It has gained popularity over the years.
well, the poll finally broke in favor of San Andreas, but now the trilogy is $60 so my decision is to not give Rockstar money at this time
“you have chosen…wise;y”. - the old grail guy
Grew up with an Indiana Jones pinball machine in the basement (and have heard this sound clip a million times) and this has really touched me
