That was a joke I know what a BAFTA is but look at this list of “Most Iconic Video Game Characters of All Time.” I don’t want to be too mean but, uh… two characters from a less-than-1-year-old smash hit, huh?
This goes without saying but I betcha IC has a different idea of how this list should look.

Astarion and Shadowheart are about as iconic as the hat Ubisoft tried to pass off as iconic for the protagonist of Watchdogs
I think I would only agree with four or five of these being genuinely iconic – in that people that do not generally engage with video games would have a good shot at recognising them.
I would wager people recognise Pikachu but I would also wager they think of the cartoon first!
Anybody that does not play games will not see Link as iconic. They might say “oh, that’s Zelda” which I say proves that Link is not iconic.
I enjoy playing a Yakuza game, but nobody will know who the heck Kiryu is.
