@“billy”#p37764 That translucent shell is great, can‘t wait to see the final product! Is the IPS a drop in replacement or is there some soldering or case modding involved? I have a white PSP-1000 model that’s working pretty well, so I doubt I would do anything drastic with it, but this might be a fun project if I come across and old beat up one to mess around with.
As an unrelated addendum to my post, I shared it on Twitter & it feels weird that Swery follows about 70K nazis, but not me even after I tagged him. Is this Twitter sadness, or is it a good affirmation that I am not, in fact, a nazi?

A few recent arrivals
The gamepad looks even better in person than I expected! It turns out to be less of a French's mustard yellow and more of an NYC taxi cab yellow, if that makes sense. Will probably use this with my MiSTer over bluetooth, at least until the SNES SNAC I ordered arrives.
The GBxCart RW is a tidy little rom reader/writer for GB and GBA that works like a charm. This arrived faster than I expected (about 2 weeks shipping to US) from [Inside Gadgets](https://shop.insidegadgets.com/), based in Australia. I pulled my Metroid Fusion save last night and was able to pick right back up on RetroArch where I left off (getting mercilessly and repeatedly wrecked by SA-X...I'll win that fight eventually).
The Pi kit is a replacement for my version 3 that I lent away, will probably use it for RetroPie. Curious to see if the extra horsepower makes a difference for some of the more demanding emulators.

After 2 years of owning a PVM-2030 that I kind of stole from my high school and after some of the s video cables that I used to use broke, I finaly bought some RGB cables for it! (a cmptr to scart adapter and a ps2 scart cable) and they kind of (my mail situation is complicated right now) arrived yesterday!

They look amazing! though at first I booted up Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 25: Gunstar Heroes Treasure Box and alien soldier looked pretty weird to me because the colors where off and the reds and yellows looked a bit too greenish, so I just assumed that I needed to calibrate the colors with rgb but then after googling a bit and looking at some videos to compare, I realized that that's how the game looks on RGB, and I was just used to the way it looked over composite and s-video, I'm not sure if the colors that I was used to were the intended colors that happened as a result of composite distortion or if it was just my poorly calibrated and maybe too saturated pvm that's also probably in need of a recap.

Gunstar heroes looks great to my eyes but that may be because I haven't played it nearly as much as Alien Soldier[upl-image-preview url=//i.imgur.com/OApGORd.jpeg]
I just booted dodonpachi daioujou which I have played a lot, and it gives me the same weird too-greenish feeling as alien soldier, so it's time to use Artemio's mighty 240p test suite to see what's going on, an maybe recalibrate the whole pvm! I'm probably going to spend the whole day on this
