Also picked up an Analogue Pocket in that most recent drop and am using it as motivation to get into GB/GBC/GBA game collecting :-) Going to be trying my hand at replacing a cartridge battery for the first time tonight so wish me luck!

Got these in the mail yesterday. I'm excited to give them a go when I get my Analogue Pocket for Christmas. I've always wanted to play the Starfy series and I found it odd Nintendo had a first party (albeit Tose developed) series of platformers on GBA that never released outside of Japan until the fourth game on DS (which even then felt kinda poorly promoted in the US IIRC) when this seems like a layup to release and be a success. I'm curious how they stack up against the other Nintendo 2D platforming series, and it's really cool to feel like I'm finally getting to play what have always felt like a sort of "secret lost" first party Nintendo series to me.
@“HeavenlyHalberd”#p143015 they're very kiddy, but that can work sometimes. I would call it more “second party” since it was nintendo shepherded but not developed internally (for the most part). still a neat thing to go through, looking forward to hearing what you think about it.

I guess Nintendo didn‘t think it’d be a big seller and didn‘t want to publish it themselves, and being a Nintendo-published game in Japan nobody else could get the rights to bring it here? But that’s just my speculation.

I don't know yet if I'll get a CRT but really wanted to have the Virtua Cop gun on the shelf! Sakura Wars was mainly just for the mouse, but when I opened it I didn't realise how good condition it was in. All the bits inside were in amazing quality, the stickers, flyers in the game box, even the disc didn't look used. The mouse mat had never actually been opened!

Still need to pick this one up myself. My one collecting goal is to fullset the PS1 NA library (other region exclusives would be a bonus if that ever becomes feasible). My much more manageable subgoal has been getting a full PS1 longbox set, and that's been fun!

@“exodus”#p144568 I’d say I’m about 1/4th of the way there? I really don’t buy many things at full/average price! I think I’ve spent over $100 for a game… maybe five times in my life? I’m happy to take my time, just a little thing to slowly chip away at and have fun with. Most of my heavy hitters came from buying titles for decently cheap before they skyrocketed. I won’t discount that I’ve also had a lot of luck. My collecting for that platform has slowed down a lot during lockdown/post-lockdown, but I always like finding actually hard to find titles that aren’t necessarily expensive. The average has definitely risen, but the really expensive titles are starting to drop quite a bit compared to where they were. My current white whale is Starblade Alpha CIB, which is one of the harder to find and expensive titles.
Maybe getting them all will happen, maybe it won’t! It’s fun to play what I got (which is already too much lol).

It's MiniMoni Shakatto Tambourine! Dapyon, the spiritual successor / sequel to Samba de Amigo! I got the bundle with the controller for $8. I don't know how they make money from these sales!
I also got two more games for my Analogue Duo, which gives me a solid amount of games to dip my toes into the Turbografx library. I don't know much about Bakuden: Unbalance Zone, but it looked similar to Panic? I had an ebay coupon, so it was pretty cheap.
