What's in the mail?

@connrrr @Chopemon heck yes! I finished my day job for the year yesterday so work on volume three is increasing

@“devilsblush”#p145670 amazing work, looking forward to it!

realized I'd forgotten to post these arrived last week!

Some buys from suruga-ya’s latest free shipping deal. I’ve never beaten Chrono Trigger and just got a Phat DS separately so I’m looking forward to digging in. DQ Treasures is roughly 40-50 dollars cheaper imported and some Medarot figurines.

Edit: I love that this forum has the option to upload a tiny thumbnail sized photo.

Have recently gotten a bunch of records:

And also joining the DVLSBLSH gang:

Got my last order in of Saturn games for this year!

~~Nole~~ Noel 3 Special Edition and Return to Zork are both still sealed which is a nice win. All the others have their Obis and a few have the registration cards too!

And maybe not the last ones ordered but probably delivered now I think about it!

I ordered a dual shock one PlayStation controller for $25 shipped on eBay. It came with a broken d pad covered in gunk, along with this weird sticker. It looks like a group of day laborers crowded around a dead body or something. Advertising to your customers how easy these flips are is weird. Like wow I'm so glad your profit comes so easy as it becomes impossible to find what I’m looking for, “sixfigureflipper”… Watch out for the “Swap Daddies” who are running the market into the ground…

I’m going to cut off the logo and QR and just slap this inexplicable scene somewhere.

@“Tom of the Fog”#p146002 where do you usually order them from?

@“diogo”#p146284 Two places mainly: Le Bon Coin which is a famous French site for second hand goods that‘s been around for years or Vinted which has other European stores. With Vinted I’ve found stuff from Italy and Spain too so gives me a bigger scope to hunt!

I've tried Ebay but prices are a lot higher there, don't know exactly why but I think people assume they can charge more as its on Ebay.

In late November/early December I went on a bit of an online shopping spree, most of which has since come in (still waiting on Shinobi 2 for Game Gear and some bits and pieces):

That copy of The Dark Spire is I think the most I’ve ever spent on one game, though I paid a lot less for it than the asking of any copy currently on eBay. The price of the item itself I’ve probably matched before, but international shipping is so expensive now, and the AUD/US exchange rate is unfavourable. It cost more than the boots, which were on clearance. The last pair remaining happened to be in my size. The wooden thing is a shoe tree (the other one I left in the shoe for the photo), a device whose primary function I’m pretty sure is to part fools from their money. It’s the cheapest wooden one I could find, and though the listing mentioned cedar I don’t think it’s cedar. The bag was pretty cheap, is smaller than I’d hoped but bigger than I’d feared, and bought mainly out of nostalgia for one my dad had when I was a kid, though his was khaki. I went with this blue to try to make it less military looking. I like that the front pocket kind of looks like a dopey face.

Not pictured are some parts for my dremel and a thing I got for the handlebar of my bike in an attempt to reduce the arm pain I’ve been getting riding to work. Ironically I sprained my wrist installing it.

Flicking through this thread before posting I wound up joining the ranks of insert creditors who have purchased DVLSBLSH volume one, so that’ll be in the mail soon too. Also, some very late replies to some old posts:

@“HeavenlyHalberd”#p138928 I have no idea what this game is, but hey, why not try a surprise? Vic Tokai is supposed to be a solid developer, right?

I did a screenshot let’s play of this back in 2013 for reasons that escape me now. It’s a pretty good puzzler.

@“treefroggy”#p131813 I have not been able to find scans of the manual for PULSEMAN online anywhere

This is too late, but Sega Retro is usually a pretty good source for manual scans

@“Yim”#p146679 I‘ve never heard of The Dark Spire before but after looking at some images it looks super interesting! Hopefully it’s not crazy expensive - I forget that DS games aren't region locked.

Yeah importing from the US to AU is a bit insane.

The DS era was when I finished uni and started getting a substantial income, but before I had like loans and a family to worry about, so I was importing just about any DS game with a US release that looked at all interesting. Unfortunately I had not come to the light of first person dungeon crawling at the time, or I’d have already had the Dark Spire. Though come to think of it I did get the Etrians and Strange Journey. Not sure why I skipped Dark Spire.

Anyway, further developments in my letterbox (the game, not the pocket):

Surugaya get #2. I am so excited for this dumb thing:

Yes, I bought the PlayStation printer. And not just that, but the rarer variant with a video adapter module(?). It’s going to be in the box for a little while longer, but I’ll probably start a thread detailing my experience with this thing when I get space to get it out. (I have a sneaking suspicion it has undocumented[?] support for the [unreleased keyboard and mouse adapter](http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=140), but we shall see!)

Cannot believe how lucky I am to get this.

Ordered this from a local game store. I had no idea that some single disc PS1 games came in multi disc cases. I thought they forgot a disc for a second because one side just has the manual.

@“ninjapresident”#p146904 looking forward to hearing about this. I thought I was up on PSX peripherals but have never heard of this!

@“kyleprocrastinations”#p146990 the other side should have a nice Playstation logo where the other disc spindle would be, unless it's a replacement case!

@“tomjonjon”#140 ! It is the PlayStation hour for me again, and I finally upgraded my 7501 console with parts from the one you sent me! This is a fun little serendipity: my shell had a yellowed top half only, and yours had a yellowed lower half only, so now I have two consoles with perfectly matched coloration! Hahaha

It looks beautiful just like the one I had at my mom’s house when I was seven

Also this fixed the power button misalignment as well

@“treefroggy”#p147028 Excellent! Glad it all came together.

@“tomjonjon”#p147012 If you know anything about the Saturn printer, it's the same (2.0) software, just a playstation specific model.

@"kyleprocrastinations"#p146990 they did that for games where the manual was so big it wouldn't fit into a standard jewel case!

I completely don‘t remember ordering Memcard pro2…. It’s good! GameID thing is working with OPL. Detects and makes virtual cards for each games.
