Can't remember if this was 30 or 40 dollars but either way it's probably my most frivolous video game purchase of all-time. Already played this release on PS4 in 2023, I own all the other physical/digital variations of P3, and there's a newer $70 version I'll be buying in less than a months time. I can't envision a scenario in which I open and play this video game. But hey, I got it.
(hope y‘all don’t mind this is actually a bit of an older photo)
got a brick of famicom games in the mail
I got these on J4U and I found a lot of their prices very good compared to ebay/ other sites, though I probably could have gotten better deals if I used japanese auction sites
Gunblade NY is a real gem. The Wii port is good and it works well using the remote. I’ve played the arcade a million times and I think it’s a genuine classic on the level of House of the Dead and Virtua Cop. LOVE the clean Model 2 aesthetic. LA Machineguns is fun too.
Target: Terror is dumb but I dig it. I have a deep nostalgia for low budget digitized graphics light gun games like Area 51 and Lethal Enforcers and this has that wacky look where it’s obviously the game devs and their friends and family in cheap costumes lol. The game is peak mid 2000s post September 11th American jingoistic propaganda in electronic form.
I played TvC once at the arcade and basically all i remembered was it had Alex from SF III and the giant playable character that looks like a waffle iron. I’m enjoying messing around with it.
Also got Ghost Squad in the mail arriving Monday. I’m very excited for this. I played the heck out of the arcade when it was new. I thought it was excellent and apparently the Wii port is good.

I got Eugene Jarvis to admit the plane scene was a reaction to 9/11. Pretty interesting interview all around if you're interested in the arcade scene (of 15 years ago - I should do an updated one) https://www.gamedeveloper.com/production/eugeneology-an-interview-with-eugene-jarvis
@“ninjapresident”#p146904 I love how Nintendo and Sony both decided printer peripherals were the future in the 90's. I never even knew a PlayStation printer existed until today! This is so cool!
Y'all ever have the experience of “well Surugaya offers free domestic shipping at $6.93, but I only have $5.41 in my cart, so I should add something” and then suddenly an hour has passed and your cart is over $80? I accidentally found they have a large number of VHS tapes about railroads and then accidentally decided I wanted a big pile of those. Going to be an exciting and stupid box to receive.
They get new stock kind of sporadically and I was checking their new stock list with a couple of beers in me last Friday. I saw they'd just got a copy of Dodonpachi in complete with spine and reg cards and I bought it so god damn fast.
@“HeavenlyHalberd”#p147442 I love how Nintendo and Sony both decided printer peripherals were the future in the 90’s.
Just to clarify, the PlayStation and Saturn printers were not made by either Sony or Sega. They were commercialized by Koei in collaboration with Canon.
@“◉◉maru”#p148300 Wow, I‘m glad I know that now, thank you for sharing! I’m not sure what made them decide this was commerically viable, although I can see the idea as giving access to printing to those without PCs but have a console.
Pet free home” doesn’t mean anything anymore dude you’re the 10th owner of this controller I bought and it’s full of who knows how many different kinds of hairs and bugs. Handling, opening, cleaning f it has given me an allergic reaction where my nose is outrageously itchy
(Another gross ass controller I ordered that said “excellent condition”)
Also I’m not sure this description is from the seller… probably from an AI.
