@“treefroggy”#p149289 “It is made of plastic and was manufactured in Japan.” Reverberating in my head as I look around at my possessions lol
@“Chopemon”#p149338 it was under $20 and the seller was communicative at least and seemed cool, so I’m not gonna complain or ask for a return or anything. But damn.
I cleaned it up and it’s in good condition aside for how it was literally filled with dog hair on the inside somehow.
Still in the mail, but I'm looking forward to giving this hitbox thing a go and seeing just how long it takes me to get used to it for fighting games. Worst case I just use it for performers or something.
@“Shaneus”#p149436 I'm thinking about getting one of these too. That price point is absurdly low
I didn’t order this but this is so egregious I had to share. Trying to remember the Twitter account that ironically posts overpriced damaged cartridges like this
It’s been chewed on. I’d have trouble selling it for $10 even. At this point it’s supposed to be a lucky cheap deal for some kid who just wants to play on hardware.
The reseller market in LA is bullshit these days
@“Bbtone”#p149514 I‘ll be sure to post in here how it goes. I’d been looking for a while for a hitbox or similar that wasn‘t too expensive, and that specific one got some great reviews. For less than $80AUD shipped, I’m a bit excited about giving it a shot.
I finally bought a string dampener for my platinum Stratocaster for my tapping playstyle. I play it like a harpsichord, and I was having trouble with errant string noises as I was recording.

I found a new copy of this on Ebay for a relatively reasonable price. I don't know a lot about the Megaman X series. I've played the first one before and it was fine. I mainly bought this to try out the Megaman kart racing game thats included.
Lot of angry people fightin'

suraga-ya had another free shipping deal running so I‘d figured I’d be remiss not to make the most of it… until I ended up with 69€ in taxes. you win some you lose some I guess. anyway here's all the stuff I got. also half the ps1 boxes are broken like what the heck!!
@“diogo”#p150234 some Big Recommend albums in that mix there, nice work!
@“treefroggy”#p150361 noooo, the box design is too good to be treated so.
@“diogo”#p150234 aww yeah Deeno Crisis
I bought myself the blu ray of Amazon Women on the Moon for a nice £8 new. Though I had to spend 10 minutes wiping off that really gross, strong glue that gets used on stickers after one was put on the actual case and not the shrink wrap. It's still happening in 2024!
Looking forward to the movie though. I haven't seen it before and it looks like I'd have a real fun time with it!

@“LeFish”#p150481 A trick I learned to remove that horrible glue left from labels is to spray some hairspray on a tissue and use that. I've done it for years and always cleans them up perfectly!
@“Tom of the Fog”#p150482 I thankfully remembered that I had a bunch of adhesive removing wipes somewhere from when I was given them after a surgery but even getting the paper off was an ordeal too!
Well, I never thought it would happen, but for a comparatively excellent price, I managed to obtain a copy of Kiki Kaikai: Tsukiyo Soushi complete in box, in excellent condition, no sun fading no nothing. I‘ve seen copies of this game in worse condition go for $400, $500, and in this condition even up to $700 or $800. This one here just barely cracked $200 (somehow even less than I paid for KiKi KaiKai: Nazo no Kuro Manto, which is supposed to be the cheaper of the two). Funny to think there’s game-players out there spending a similar amount on the many AAA games releasing just in this month alone…!! I'm certainly going to get more value out of this single game than I would with any of those.

Here it is up on the shelf. There's still a few other _Kiki Kaikai_ games I'd need for a complete collection, but they're all significantly cheaper and easier to find (except for the GBA one). I can't express enough what a landmark moment it is to have this in my hands.

@“Funbil”#p150492 here‘s a question - when you get something like this, and you certainly want to play the original cartridge, how do you deal with opening the cardboard box to get it out, when the package’s condition is also important? The tongue of the box always bends, or you bend the cover, one or the other. And do you subsequently keep the cart out of the box so you won't have to do it again? Just wondering how others approach this!
(Also where's the pce version?)
