I wound up stealing my partner’s costume idea because I had the right colored pants. She went as a cow instead!
Anyhoo here’s me and dog number 2. We went to a Halloween party and nobody knew who we were. I showed a picture of the game and nobody knew that either. So - I’m afraid society may be too far gone.

coincidentally i’ve been thinking about potentially dressing up as another NanaOn-sha developed ps1 rythm game character for the 2 years. i want to attach white glowsticks in the shape of vibri from vib ribbon to an all black outfit.
the things that hold me back are the fact that doing it with glowsticks seems kinda wasteful and that definetely everyone will think i’m a weird glowing skeleton. i’d need to be in a halloween party full of really cool people
The glowstick idea is fun, maybe there’s secretly some sustainable ones… Somehow

That’s so good. Not many human characters in that series who are in any way memorable, but that one sure is.
Maybe some LED strips could work? If you found some that were solidly lit and not just dots of light. They’d still flicker like crazy and people around you might get a headache from that lmao.

A couple years ago I made this Sylvando costume. Maybe one person at the party recognized it, but otherwise I used it as an excuse to talk about Dragon Quest at people.
This year my partner was Power from Chainsaw Man and I was her devil killing partner Mr. Fred Rogers.
Nobody knew who I was (picture was taken before I drew on the finger stitches, couldn’t use a real hammer because the club wouldn’t let me)
My son wanted me to dress as Luigi for Halloween, so I’ll post pictures of that Halloween night. I broke in the overalls today; they’re quite comfy! He’s Mario. My wife is Yoshi (lol).
