@“Funbil”#p64059 :joy:it took 30 YEARS for someone to finally make this

I‘m going to buy the new kirbert game (as I call them) and play it. just letting everyone know in here that I’m going to finally Get Into Kirby as so many people have suggested throughout the years. What tipped me over toward wanting it was people saying it's “too easy.”

@“exodus”#p64122 as a big ol' Kirby fan, i would say that is a good choice. but even this new one is extremely easy! have you decided to embrace the easy?

@“exodus”#p64122 so far, for this 49 year old, it’s easy but my god, it’s like an ice-cold glass of water on a hot day after playing some Elden Ring. It’s such a pleasure to pootle about looking for secrets and turning into :blue_car: etc

It’s perfect for my train journey and chilling in bed.

I‘ve always liked easy stuff! I don’t know why anyone would ever complain about it. I haven‘t had any particular reason for not playing Kirby other than I just didn’t get around to it and didn't really know why I would. But now I figure why not

I bought Kirby because:

  • - It looked like a fun time;
  • - I’ve never played a Kirby before (!);
  • - I could use a nice change of pace/tension from all the Elden Ringing I’ve been doing (still not done with that);
  • - It looks like all the Gamer Bros are upset because it is “too easy”, and anything that makes the Gamer Bros upset must be pretty good
  • I’ve played through to the first boss fight (Brawl In The Mall) and have been having a good time. This is a good game to hang out with and just be absorbed in whatever is going on.

    I also realised something else is that this game doesn‘t give me that “oh god, am I going to be able to get through this bit?” low-level anxiety that I often get with games. If that makes sense? Sometimes I just don’t want that feeling and very few games give me that opportunity.

    (It does, however, give me a different, more manageble one and that's "Oh! Have I got everything in this level?" :D )

    I got PC Engine weird platformer vibes from the new Kirby demo and now Brandon's playing it, so my vibes are confirmed

    @“Punzai”#p64177 I noticed this too. I think the insurance from the float mechanic helps with feeling relaxed while platforming.

    I'm really enjoying Forgotten Land. It definitely feels like it's been in the rock tumbler for awhile. Everything about it seems so well-designed and additive to the whole experience - animations, world design, level design, controls, sound design, soundtrack.

    I love the crunchiness of some of the sound design — feels like a lot of sounds have a hint of those original Gameboy square-waves underneath. Also, I wasn't expecting much from the soundtrack, but it's been one of my favorite aspects.

    @“chazumaru”#p64274 I feel like this guy's motives might not be wholesome

    "What's that he's saying?"

    "It's the KIRBY alphabet! A is for happy, B is for sun, C is for Minecraft, D is for dog..."

    @“captain”#p64309 i came in here to say something about how much i'm absolutely loving the new Kirby game, but this masterpiece is possibly even more adorable. that you have someone in your life capable of this is such a blessing, and thank you for sharing it with us.

    30 years of Kirby = 30 years of Kirby commercials.

    @“chazumaru”#p64751 somewhat surprised by the emphasis on Kirby‘s やんちゃ (naughty/mischievous)-ness in the early commercials, but i’ll take it
